Bio
Charlotte Carpenter Lewis, originally from Redlands, California moved to Los Angeles to become an NBC page. An award-winning actress and singer, she has been performing in regional theatrical productions throughout California. She has appeared in such diverse roles as Eliza in My Fair Lady, Adelaide in Guys & Dolls, Anna in The King & I, and Sally in Cabaret, among many others. Additionally, she’s performed at the Hollywood Bowl, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and contributed her singing talents to the development of the Richard Sherman musical, Pazzazz! Together with her husband, Bill, they formed Lewis Productions, presenting musicals and live music performances in California and Oregon.
With her love of the Great American Songbook, she is now focusing her singing talent on the music of Gershwin, Porter, Berlin, Rogers and Hart and more. She has sung at the storied Birdland Jazz Club with world-renowned accompanist Billy Stritch in New York City and at the intimate Gardenia Supper Club in Hollywood. She has appeared as a featured Big Band singer with The Alex Mendham Orchestra on the Queen Mary 2, The Johnny Holiday Orchestra at the world-famous Cicada Club in downtown Los Angeles, and The Fabulous Esquires at Rusty’s Rhythm Club. Additionally, she’s been performing her solo cabaret act throughout the country.
